Special Residential Retreat on Intercession; 6th - 9th August 2026

DIVINE GLORY MINISTRIES, MANIPUR -

MARAM KHUNOU, SENAPATI:

The Special Residential Retreat on Intercession was held from 6th to 9th August 2026, Thursday to Sunday at the Divine Glory Prayer Tower. The retreat was a blessed and spiritually enriching gathering focused on discovering the deep power of intercession and encouraging participants to offer their prayers, sufferings, and life experiences for the salvation and healing of others.

Around 80 people participated in the retreat and the atmosphere throughout the retreat was filled with prayer, praise, worship, reflection, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The sessions of singing, praise, and worship were led by Saimon Namkoiba, Ajoy Kansouwa, and Sr. Lilly SJ. Through their ministry, the participants were led into a deeper experience of prayer and communion with God.

The retreat teachings were given by Fr. Dinny Paul VC – Director, Fr. John Joseph VC – Superior, and Fr. Praful Kerketta VC – Administrator and Mr. Francis. All the preachers emphasized the deep spiritual power of intercession. They encouraged the participants to become people of prayer, standing before God on behalf of others and offering their lives and struggles for the needs of the Church, families, and society. The teachings helped the participants understand that intercession is not merely asking God for something but lovingly offering oneself to God for the sake of others.

Another important grace of the retreat was the opportunity for Sacramental Confession. All the participants took part in confession and experienced God's mercy and forgiveness. Many experienced an inner transformation, allowing God to turn their pain into joy and their burdens into renewed hope. The retreat became a time of spiritual renewal, healing, and deeper commitment to a life of prayer and intercession.

The participants experienced the power and presence of the Holy Spirit throughout the retreat. Hearts were renewed, faith was strengthened, and many were inspired to continue the ministry of intercession in their families, communities, and places of service.

The retreat concluded in an atmosphere of joy and gratitude. After the final programme, all the participants shared lunch together happily and departed with grateful hearts, carrying with them the spiritual blessings and experiences received during the retreat.
