The Mothers’ Retreat was prayerfully conducted at Divine Glory Retreat Centre, Zoumun, on 27 June 2026. The retreat brought together mothers for a day of spiritual renewal, prayer, repentance, and Eucharistic encounter.
The program commenced at 8:15 a.m. with the Holy Rosary, during which participants entrusted their families, children, and personal intentions to the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The first session, titled “How to Pray,” was conducted by Fr. Saji VC. The talk emphasized the importance of developing a personal relationship with God through daily prayer, faith, humility, and perseverance. Participants were encouraged to cultivate a consistent prayer life rooted in trust and surrender to God's will.
Following a brief period of Praise and Worship, the second session on “Patterns of Prayer” explored various forms of Christian prayer, including praise, thanksgiving, repentance, intercession, and contemplation. The faithful were guided to deepen their spiritual lives by embracing these different expressions of prayer.
After a short break, the Holy Mass was celebrated with a special focus on True Repentance. The homily highlighted the necessity of sincere conversion, examination of conscience, and returning to God's mercy with a contrite heart. The Eucharistic celebration provided an opportunity for spiritual renewal and reconciliation with God.
The retreat concluded with a powerful period of Eucharistic Adoration on Deliverance. Participants spent time before the Blessed Sacrament seeking healing, freedom from spiritual burdens, and a deeper experience of God's grace. Through prayer, worship, and reflection, many experienced peace, encouragement, and renewed faith.
The program ended with refreshments and fellowship before departure at 1:00 p.m.
The retreat proved to be a grace-filled gathering that strengthened the faith of the mothers and encouraged them to continue their vocation as Christian women, wives, and mothers with renewed zeal and commitment.
