ZOUMUN, CHURACHANDPUR:
The Bible Convention was conducted at Divine Glory Retreat Centre, Zoumun, on 15 August 2026, with the participation of the faithful for a day of prayer, Scripture reflection, worship, confession, and Eucharistic devotion.
The programme began with the Holy Rosary and Confession, led by Sisters Carmel and Sylvia. This was followed by Praise and Worship conducted by Catechist Savio. Fr. Saji VC then gave a talk on the Day of Obligation, helping the participants understand the importance of faithfully observing the Church’s obligations and deepening their commitment to Christian life.
An action song and confession session led by Catechist Savio and his team brought joy and active participation among the faithful. Fr. Saji VC subsequently gave a reflection on the Assumption of Mother Mary, focusing on Mary’s faith, her complete surrender to God, and her role in leading Christians closer to Christ.
The central spiritual celebration of the day was the Holy Mass, celebrated by Fr. Saji VC, with the theme “To Jesus through Mary.” The faithful were encouraged to imitate Mary’s obedience and faith and to allow her to lead them more deeply into a relationship with Jesus.
The afternoon continued with Prayer and Worship, Divine Mercy devotion, and Eucharistic Adoration. During the Adoration, Fr. Saji VC reflected on the importance of remaining in the presence of God while faithfully carrying out our responsibilities towards others. The faithful were encouraged to unite their daily duties, family responsibilities, and service to others with prayer and the presence of God.
The Bible Convention concluded with refreshments and the departure of the participants. The entire day was marked by prayer, active participation, spiritual instruction, and devotion to Jesus through Mary. It served as a meaningful opportunity for the faithful to renew their faith and strengthen their commitment to Christian living.
