The Divine Glory Retreat Centre, Zoumun, successfully conducted a Mothers' Fasting Retreat on 25 July 2026, with the participation of mothers from the surrounding villages. The retreat was a day of prayer, spiritual renewal, repentance, and healing.
The program began with the Holy Rosary led by Catechist Savio, followed by Praise and Worship conducted by Sr. Carmel and Sr. Silvia, while the Sacrament of Reconciliation was made available throughout the morning. Fr. Saji VC delivered an inspiring talk based on Exodus 17 (the battle against the Amalekites) and Ephesians 6:12, emphasizing the reality of spiritual warfare and the need to fight with faith, prayer, and perseverance rather than relying on human strength.
After a short break, the participants joined in action songs led by Catechists George and Savio, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity. The Holy Mass, celebrated by Fr. Saji VC, reflected on the request of the Sons of Zebedee, highlighting the importance of humility, self-sacrifice, and true discipleship. The retreat continued with the Divine Mercy Chaplet led by Catechist Savio, followed by a powerful Eucharistic Adoration conducted by Fr. Saji focusing on deliverance, healing, and surrender to the Lord.
The retreat concluded with refreshments and fellowship. The participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to deepen their faith and experience God's grace through prayer, the Eucharist, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
