The last Saturday of the month have brought in this time, the biggest attendance of Mothers for the Fasting Retreat. More than a hundred mothers have turned up for the same.
After their arrival at 8:00 am, Catechist Savio led the Rosary and the Praise & Worship. Rev. Fr Praful VC delivered the lenten talk preparing the mothers to approach the Holy Week with Jesus centred spirituality. Rev. Fr Sijo Thomas VC offered the Holy Eucharist. At 11:00 am, Rev. Fr Robert Faustin SDB animated the Eucharistic Adoration. The adoration centred on "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18), aiding the mothers to surrender their domestic pain and worries.
The Mothers' Fasting Retreat was ended with the refreshments for all. The showers of blessings halted the mothers to proceed for home for sometime. It was indeed a fruitful day to begin the Holy Week spiritually empowered for our mothers.
