Every last Saturday of the month is set aside for Mothers' Fasting Retreat in Zoumun (Churachandpur). Mothers' prayer groups from different units of Churachandpur used to spend half a day for prayer and fasting. On 28th February 2026 (Saturday), mothers from different units of Churachandpur came together for the retreat.
The retreat began at 8:00 am with Rosary and Praise & Worship led by Catechist George Kakai (Catechist of Divine Glory Unit, Zoumun). Rev. Fr Robert Faustin SDB reflectively led the mothers with a talk on "Seek the face of God" (Psalm 27:8). The Lenten Talk was followed by the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Rev. Fr Praful Kerketta VC. In his homily, he enlightened the mothers on the three pillars of Lent. The soul touching Eucharistic Adoration was animated after the Holy Mass. The retreat was ended at 11:30 am with the refreshments.
