This time the Mothers' Fasting Retreat in Zoumun became quite emotional since for Rev. Fr Praful Kerketta VC and Rev. Fr Robert Faustin Ralte SDB, it was their last retreat with the mothers here in Divine Retreat Centre, Zoumun (Churachandpur). Both the Fathers will be in their new assignment places when the mothers come again for their fasting Retreat in May 2026.
The Retreat began at 08:00 am with the Praise & Worship led by Catechist Savio and Catechist George.
After the Rosary, Rev. Fr Praful Kerketta VC gave the talk. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Fr Robert Faustin Ralte SDB. It was followed by the Eucharistic Adoration which was animated by Rev. Fr Praful Kerketta VC.
The mothers gave a fitting farewell to both the Fathers. They profusely thanked the Fathers for animating the regular retreats for Mothers on every last Saturday of the month. The mothers also wished the two Fathers God's choicest blessings in their new assignments. The half day fasting retreat was concluded with refreshments.
Rev. Fr Praful Kerketta VC will join Divine Glory Prayer Tower, Senapati. Rev. Fr Robert Faustin Ralte SDB will return back to his province in Guwahati. For the next three years, as he was requested by the province of Shillong, he will exercise his ministry in Mizoram. May God bless both the Fathers in their new mission.
