The Second Saturday Marian Convention was held on 8th August 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the Divine Glory Prayer Tower. Around 260 participants gathered together with joyful hearts to experience the presence of the Holy Spirit and to deepen their love and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The programme began with singing, praise and worship, led by Sr. Lilly SJ, Saimon Namkoiba, and Ajoy Kansouwa. Through uplifting songs and heartfelt worship, the participants were led into an atmosphere of prayer, thanksgiving, and openness to the movement of the Holy Spirit.
The spiritual sessions and preaching were led by Fr. Dinny Paul VC, Fr. Praful Kerketta VC, and Mr. Francis. Their reflections focused on the Blessed Virgin Mary, encouraging the faithful to look to Mary as a model of faith, humility, obedience, and complete trust in God. The teachings helped the participants grow in their understanding of Mary's role in leading God's people closer to Jesus.
The celebration reached a special moment with the Holy Mass, celebrated by Fr. John Joseph VC. The Eucharistic celebration brought everyone together in communion and thanksgiving, strengthening the participants in their faith and devotion.
Following the Holy Mass, the participants took part in a Jericho Prayer around the house compound, praying with faith and unity for the world and its needs. This powerful time of intercession expressed the desire of the gathered community to stand in prayer for peace, healing, families, nations, and the whole world.
A particularly powerful moment of the retreat was the Adoration led by Fr. Thomas Bobby Emprayil VC – Provincial Superior, Delhi Province of the Vincentian Congregation. During the Adoration, he spoke deeply about the meaning and value of suffering in the life of a Christian. He encouraged everyone with the powerful message: “Do not waste your suffering; turn every pain into intercession.”
This message touched the hearts of many participants. They were encouraged to surrender their personal pains, struggles, disappointments, and sufferings to God and transform them into prayers for others. The participants were reminded that even suffering, when surrendered to God with faith, can become a powerful means of intercession and a source of grace.
The convention concluded in an atmosphere of joy, fellowship, and gratitude. Everyone shared a happy and joyful lunch together, strengthening the bonds of friendship and brotherhood. With hearts filled with renewed faith and love, the participants departed peacefully, carrying with them the blessings and spiritual experience of the day.
